UK Festival Dates
Thursday July 01, 2010
I'm pleased to be able to confirm that I will be appearing at a handful of selected shows in the UK in the coming days.
Full details are available by following the links on the website home page, but these are the times and places:
- July 7th - I will be performing a lunch time show in the Leadenhall Market in the City Of London as part of a week-long series of events for the Americana Festival being held there. I will be performing some acoustic-based 'Big Dog 3' style songs with Danny White on bass (ex-Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers) and Paul Griffith (Grifter) on drums, who has appeared on countless albums by the likes of John Prine and Carlene Carter.
- July 7th - In the evening I will be sitting in for a few songs as a guest of Nashville's Last Train Home at Leytonstone in East London. The band are led by Eric Brace, and Danny White and Paul Griffith are part of the band.
- July 8th - I am playing a special one-off intimate gig at Porters Coffee House in Tynemouth, in North East England. The show will feature local artists Celia Bryce (Katy Freeway) and Danny Holmes (Diesel Therapy) and expect a few more surprise guests to drop in!
- July 10th - The finale of the Leadenhall Americana Festival in the City Of London. I will be again playing with Danny and Paul in a full electric 'BD3' set.
Hope to see you all at one of the shows!

I will be appearing at the Leiper's Fork Guitar Fest on 1st May - I've been asked to play a couple of songs with the house band of Micheal Rhoads and Chad Cromwell, but we're hoping to have a few special guests from the Hi Power Band to sit in as well!
On stage at the Lawnchair Theatre will belegendary guitarist Larry Carlton with his special guest four time Grammy nominee Robben Ford. Also sharing the stages will be Rick Vito, Andy Reese, Ladd Smith & Carl Miner, Mel Deal, Colin Linden, Fly Amero, Classical Guitar sensation Virginia Luque, Texas Blues legend Bugs Henderson, GuthrieTrapp, Reggie Young, Russ Barenburg and many surprise guests.
The Lawnchair Theatre concert will begin at 3 o'clock with performances before and after on Puckett's Grocery stage next door.
Sounds like a lot of fun, so hope to see you all there!

Happy New Year! New shows for 2010
Tuesday January 05, 2010
It's that time of year again, so I'd like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2010 !
We have more shows coming up with the HiPower Band in the coming months, but we're also playing a couple of shows with Big Dog 3 this weekend, along with our good friend, the very talented Brigitte DeMeyer.
We'll be playing the 5 Spot (Forest Avenue) in Nashville on the 7th January, and Puckett's Grocery in Leiper's Fork on the 8th. Our special guest at these shows is Highway 101's Cactus Moser, who will be sitting in on drums for Brady Blade who unfortunately can't make the date.
Hope to see you all along there!
Big Dog 3 in Print Four-Star Review and Feature in UK Magazines!
Tuesday October 13, 2009
I'm pleased to be able to tell you that our Big Dog 3 CD has received a really nice review from Janet Aspley in the UK's Country Music People magazine.
You can see the review on the album page at our UK store, Smart Choice Music by following this link. (I am told that the album will be available through the Smart Choice Music US Store from Monday 19th October)
I am also featured in an article in the latest edition of the UK's Maverick Magazine, in their 'Musician's Corner' section. You can read the article on MySpace, but please take a moment to visit the Maverick website. The folks involved in Maverick do an excellent job in helping to promote Americana and Country music, and deserve our support for the great job they do.
